Connector specific test items are as follows:
(1) connector insertion force test;
Reference standard: EIA-364-13
Objective: to verify whether the plug power of the connector conforms to the product specification.
Principle: the connector is fully inserted or pulled out at the prescribed speed to record the corresponding force value.
(2) durability test of connector;
Reference standard: EIA-364-09
Purpose: To evaluate the effect of repeated plug and play on connectors and to simulate plug and play conditions in actual applications.
Principle: plug connector continuously according to the required speed until the required number of times.
(3) insulation resistance test of connector;
Reference standard: EIA-364-21
Objective: to verify whether the insulation performance of the connector meets the requirements of the circuit design or to withstand environmental stresses such as high temperature and humidity, and whether the resistance value conforms to the relevant technical requirements.
Principle: applying a voltage to the insulation part of a connector to produce a leakage current on the surface or inside of an insulating part and present a resistance value.
